What We Treat
Conditions, Pain Patterns & Recovery Needs
Our specialist Hijama and cupping clinic in St Albans treats a wide range of pain patterns, recovery needs, and chronic muscle and fascia restrictions. Every condition we work with is addressed using the same combined approach: Hijama or clinical cupping, IASTM muscle scraping, and deep tissue work, tailored to your specific case.
Our Approach
One Clinic. Three Combined Methods. Better Results.
Most physios offer one technique. Most cupping clinics offer one method. We combine Hijama, clinical cupping, IASTM muscle scraping, and deep tissue work in a single session, so each condition is addressed at multiple tissue layers. This is why our clients consistently get longer-lasting results than from single-method treatments.
The Three Methods We Use
Every condition we treat draws on a combination of these three methods. Which methods we use, and in what proportion, depends on your specific case and is determined during your consultation.
METHOD 01
Hijama (Wet Cupping)
Our specialist treatment. Releases pressure from chronically restricted tissue by drawing out small amounts of stagnant blood through tiny incisions. The strongest single treatment for recurring pain and chronic tension. Learn more
METHOD 02
IASTM Muscle Scraping
Clinical-grade tools work directly on the fascial layer, breaking down adhesions and scar tissue that hands alone can't reach. We're the only clinic in Hertfordshire offering this alongside cupping therapy. Learn more
METHOD 03
Deep Tissue & Cupping
Hands-on therapeutic work combined with clinical cupping. Releases the surface and intermediate muscle layers, decompresses the fascia, and prepares tissue for deeper work. Learn more
Back & Spine
Chronic & Recurring Back Pain
Back pain that keeps returning despite massage, physio or other treatments. The combined approach reaches the fascial layer where recurring pain actually sits.
View page →Lower Back Pain
Stiffness in the lumbar spine, tightness from sitting or driving, recurring lower back tension. Hijama, IASTM and deep tissue work combined target the layers driving the pattern.

Tightness around the shoulder blades, trapezius and thoracic spine. Common in desk workers and anyone with screen-heavy days.
View page →Sciatica & Nerve-Related Pain
Pain that radiates from the lower back down through the buttocks and into the leg. Combined methods release the muscular component compressing the nerve.

Tight, stiff neck with limited range of motion. Often from desk work, screen time, or stress. Our combined approach reaches the deep cervical fascia.

View page →Hamstring & Posterior Chain
Tight hamstrings, glute restriction, IT band tension, calf tightness. Common in runners and cyclists. IASTM is particularly effective here.

Conditions That Need Medical Assessment First
Hijama and cupping are excellent for muscular and fascial tension. They are not a substitute for medical care. Conditions that involve structural spinal issues (such as a herniated disc), neurological symptoms (numbness, weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control), recent fractures, suspected blood clots, or pregnancy-related issues should be assessed by a doctor or appropriate medical specialist first.
If you're unsure whether your condition is suitable for cupping treatment, message us and we'll talk it through with you before booking. We'll always recommend medical assessment where appropriate, even if it means we don't take the booking.
