Common questions

Muslim-friendly treatment questions

Do you offer halal massage?

We describe the service as Muslim-friendly rather than halal-certified. Men’s recovery sessions are provided by a male practitioner with privacy, modest exposure and agreed treatment areas. Women can request a female practitioner for Hijama only.

Can women book a female massage therapist?

No. The female practitioner currently offers Hijama wet cupping only. Female massage, muscle scraping, dry cupping and combined recovery sessions are not available at present.

Are men treated by a male practitioner?

Yes. Men’s deep tissue recovery, cupping, muscle scraping and Hijama sessions are delivered by the male lead practitioner.

How much of the body needs to be exposed?

Only the agreed treatment area needs to be accessible. The rest is kept covered wherever practical, and positioning is explained before treatment begins.

Can I choose cupping instead of massage?

Yes. Dry cupping, fire cupping and Hijama can be booked as standalone treatments. IASTM muscle scraping is tool-assisted but is usually included within a Recovery Session.

Is Hijama available to non-Muslims?

Yes. Hijama is wet cupping and is available to clients of any background. Some book for recovery or wellbeing, while Muslim clients may also choose it because of its place in the Sunnah.
