Quick answer
What is Hijama?
Plain English explanation
Hijama is wet cupping. Cups are used to create suction on the skin, then small superficial scratches are made before the cups are reapplied. A small amount of blood is drawn from the skin surface.
Many people book Hijama for Sunnah practice, detox, body heaviness, general wellbeing, pain, tension or recovery support. It is not the same as dry cupping, because dry cupping uses suction only with no scratches.

We discuss your reason for booking, health history, medication, training, symptoms and whether Hijama is suitable.
Point selection
We choose points based on Sunnah guidance where relevant, your presentation and safe clinical judgement.

Cups are placed to create suction. This part feels like firm pulling rather than sharp pain.
Small scratches
The cups are removed, small superficial scratches are made, then the cups are reapplied for wet cupping.

Honest answers
The questions first-time clients actually ask
Straight answers for the worries people usually have before their first Hijama appointment.
Does Hijama hurt?+
Most clients describe Hijama as less uncomfortable than expected. You feel pressure from the cups and a brief scratch sensation during the wet cupping stage. The session is controlled throughout, and we can pause or slow down at any point.
Will there be a lot of blood?+
No. Hijama is not about heavy bleeding. The amount varies from person to person and is usually small. Everything is handled carefully using sterile, single-use equipment and clinical waste procedures.
Is Hijama safe for a first-timer?+
Hijama is generally well tolerated when carried out properly by a trained practitioner using sterile single-use equipment. It is not suitable for everyone, which is why we complete a consultation first and advise medical review where needed.
What should I wear, and will I need to undress?+
Wear comfortable, loose clothing. You only expose the area being treated. Modesty and privacy are respected throughout. Ladies: a female practitioner may be available for Hijama sessions only, with limited availability, so please WhatsApp first.
Can I have Hijama for detox?+
Yes, many clients book Hijama for detox, body heaviness, sluggishness and general wellbeing. Hijama is traditionally used to support detox, circulation and deep relief. We keep the explanation grounded and do not promise guaranteed outcomes.
Which session should I book first?+
For most first-time clients, Signature Hijama is the best starting point because it allows enough time and coverage without being excessive. If you have recurring muscular pain or training tightness, Targeted Recovery + Hijama may be better. Message us if you are unsure.

After your session
What the next 24 hours look like
You leave with written aftercare, but this is the short version of what to expect.
Right after: Most clients are fine to go home as normal. Some feel slightly tired or lightheaded for a short time, so we recommend sitting briefly, drinking water and not rushing.
The marks: You will usually have round cupping marks where the cups were placed. They are not painful and usually fade over several days.
The rest of the day: Avoid heavy training, hot showers, saunas and swimming for 24 hours. Keep the area clean and dry.
The following day: Many clients feel lighter through the treated area. Some may feel mild soreness, similar to post-treatment heaviness. Message us if you have any concerns.
When to check before booking
Message before booking if you are pregnant, taking blood thinners, have uncontrolled diabetes, a bleeding disorder, severe anaemia, active infection, recent surgery, serious illness, fainting history, or you are unsure whether wet cupping is appropriate. Hijama is not a replacement for medical care. Serious, worsening or unexplained symptoms should be medically assessed first.
