Treatment Decision Guide · Hertfordshire

Which treatment should you book? Recovery, cupping or Hijama

Start with what you want to feel or achieve: work on tight muscles, recover from training, relax, have a Hijama detox/body reset or simply understand the cupping options. We translate that into the simplest booking route.

Sports massage searches welcomeProblem-led choices

Start with the words you already know

You do not need to learn our menu before you can book.

Whether you searched for sports massage, deep tissue, back tightness, cupping or Hijama, the booking decision normally comes down to the same few questions.

You searched for sports massage or deep tissue

Choose Targeted Recovery

60 minutes for one main region. Firm hands-on work is the foundation, with dry cupping, IASTM and percussion available where useful.

Several areas feel overloaded

Choose Full Body Recovery

90 minutes when back, shoulders, hips and legs all need proper time rather than squeezing them into a Targeted Recovery appointment.

Hijama, detox or body reset is the goal

Choose Hijama

Book by cup coverage for Sunnah practice, wellbeing or standalone Hijama blood cupping without needing a massage-led appointment.

You want muscular work and Hijama

Choose Targeted Recovery + Hijama

Combine the two only when both genuinely matter to you. It is not automatically the “best” or most complete option.

You only want suction

Choose Dry or Fire Cupping

Short standalone appointments without massage, scratches or blood.

You still do not know

Message the problem, not a treatment name

Tell us the area, how long it has been present, what loads it and what you have already tried. We will point you to the simplest sensible start.

Why the booking names can feel unfamiliar

“Targeted Recovery” is our booking name for the type of treatment many people initially search for as sports massage or deep tissue.

We use the broader name because the session is not restricted to massage. Hands-on work remains the foundation, but dry cupping, IASTM and percussion can be used where appropriate. That lets the treatment change without making you book several separate services.

If you simply want massage, say so. If you specifically want Hijama, book Hijama. If you are unsure, do not choose the most expensive option just in case. The right starting point is the simplest appointment that properly covers the main goal.

The key distinction

Hijama blood cupping and muscular recovery address different goals.

Separating those goals prevents people booking a combined treatment when they only wanted one part of it.

Hijama

Hijama blood cupping

  • Suction, small superficial scratches and second suction
  • Booked by cup coverage
  • Specific preparation and aftercare
  • Chosen for Sunnah practice, traditional detox/body reset, wellbeing or recovery
Targeted Recovery

Muscular work

  • Firm hands-on treatment
  • Dry or movement cupping where useful
  • IASTM and percussion where useful
  • Booked by time and amount of area

Choose by the pattern

One main area usually fits 60 minutes; several need 90.

The treatment name matters less than giving the problem enough time without rushing through connected regions.

Back, neck or shoulders

Choose Targeted Recovery when one connected upper-body pattern is the clear priority.

Calves, hamstrings or glutes

Choose Targeted Recovery for one lower-body focus; consider 90 minutes if hips, back and both legs are involved.

Full-body training load

Choose Full Body Recovery when a demanding block has spread tightness across several regions.

Hijama without massage

Choose cup coverage rather than session time when Hijama blood cupping itself is the main objective.

Relaxation

Choose a 60- or 90-minute massage and state that lighter, calmer work is the priority.

Specific method

Choose standalone Dry or Fire Cupping only when a short suction-only appointment is genuinely what you want.

Time is a treatment decision

Do not force several areas into a session designed for one.

The 60- and 90-minute options use the same treatment toolkit. The difference is the amount of area that can be addressed properly.

60 minutes

Targeted Recovery

  • One main area or one connected pattern
  • Focused firm manual work
  • Dry cupping and IASTM where useful
  • Optional Hijama in the combined booking
90 minutes

Full Body Recovery

  • Several connected areas
  • More time across legs, hips, back and shoulders
  • No need to rush the main problem area
  • Optional Hijama in the combined booking

Bodywork is not always the first step

Get new, severe or neurological symptoms assessed before booking.

Fresh injury, significant swelling, numbness, weakness, loss of power, unexplained pain or rapidly worsening symptoms need appropriate medical or physiotherapy assessment. Message us if you are unsure whether a recovery session is suitable.

Been looking for some natural stress relief therapy for quite some time and randomly came across this Hijama Cupping therapy. It was really explained well to me, the setup was very professional in the clinic and I cannot believe how much relief I found after the sessions. I was finding it difficult to sleep and was sleeping like a baby for the first few days. The sound of it was really scary, but it was nothing more than a slight scratch, nothing compared to the pains I went through with Tattoos and it healed up really quickly. Have been telling all my family and friends about this. Some are not convinced, but I will definitely be back for more in the future.

Shahid helped me with my recovery with my hamstring but he recommends the best course of action. For example, I initially asked for hijama for my hamstring but he advised a targeted recovery session would be more helpful for my needs. He also gave me gym exercises to help with recovery. After the session I noticed my issue subsided. He’s really friendly and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Top class service.

I had an excellent experience at this cupping centre professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session The clinic was very clean and hygienic and everything was explained clearly before the treatment. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed and much better. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality cupping therapy.

Common questions

Still deciding?

Do I need to know the technique before booking?

No. Start with the area, how much time you need and whether you want Hijama.

What if I only want dry or fire cupping?

Book the standalone cupping session rather than a full Targeted Recovery appointment.

What if massage or physio has not changed the tightness?

A Targeted Recovery session can be considered when the remaining issue is muscular tightness, but it does not replace medical assessment or rehabilitation where those are needed.

Can I ask before booking?

Yes. WhatsApp with the main area, duration of symptoms and what you have already tried.

Still stuck between massage, cupping and Hijama?

Send one message with the area, what it feels like, what you have already tried and whether wet cupping specifically matters to you.
