Hijama & Cupping Therapy for Luton
Specialist Clinic in St Albans · Around 25 Minutes from Luton
If you're based in Luton and looking for professional Hijama, our private St Albans clinic is a straightforward journey down the M1 or through Harpenden on the A1081. We see a lot of clients from Luton and the surrounding area, and it's one of the communities we serve most regularly.
Luton has a well-established Hijama community, and there are local practitioners operating in the area. Many of our Luton clients came to us because they wanted something different: a proper clinical setup with a dedicated private room, a full consultation before every session, and 100% single-use sterile equipment opened in front of you. Not a home setup, not a shared space.
We offer Hijama (wet cupping) as our main service, with deep tissue work and IASTM muscle scraping for clients who want a more complete session. Whether you're coming for Sunnah Hijama, for general wellbeing, or to deal with long-standing tension or sports recovery, every session is built around what your body actually needs.
Sunnah Hijama
Hijama as a Sunnah Practice
For many of our Luton clients, Hijama is a Sunnah practice they take seriously and want done properly. We offer Hijama on the recommended Sunnah days monthly. If you want to book on a specific day, message us on WhatsApp and we'll arrange it around the Islamic calendar.
Whether this is your first time or you have Hijama regularly, the session is conducted with the same care, the same sterile clinical setup, and the same full consultation every time.

EXCELLENT Based on 62 reviews Posted on Sahil AhmedTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Knowledge, friendly, clean and professional. Highly recommend for HijamaPosted on RushirajTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly and we even had cookie dough together lolPosted on SmlazyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Went to Herts Cupping mainly for ongoing tightness in my back and shoulders from work and gym training. I originally thought I just needed a sports massage, but the treatment was a lot more targeted than what I’ve had elsewhere. Had a mix of muscle work and cupping done and honestly felt a noticeable difference in how loose my back felt afterwards. Didn’t feel rushed and they actually explained what they were doing and why certain areas were causing problems. The clinic was clean, private and professional throughout as well which made the whole experience better. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for cupping, sports massage or general recovery treatment around Hertfordshire.Posted on MLNTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tried everything for my back and shoulder pain. Physio, osteo, acupuncture, dry needling, you name it but no luck. Then, a buddy suggested wet cupping and the scraping thingy. Looked scary online, but hey, desperate times. Surprisingly, got massive relief in one session. Back pain gone in 10 mins, and even survived the wet cupping. Uncomfortable but worth it. Best sleep in ages! Awesome service, the guy's cool. Definitely telling my friends and fam.Posted on Scott LewseyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I visited Herts Cupping for a sports recovery session as I read about their unique approach. The combined treatment was thorough, professional and tailored to the areas I was struggling with as I gym alot. The clinic was clean and well organised. Highly recommended if you're open to trying something new. The wet cupping definitley helped lift a lot of stress.Posted on Fung PoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had cupping therapy and the graston muscle scraping for gym recovery and lower back stiffness. Really professional service which is VERY rare in Hertfordshire and the session felt properly tailored.Posted on KayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had cupping sessions in Watford, Harrow and Stanmore before, but after a cousin suggested Hertfordshire Cupping, I thought I’d give it a try — and I’m really glad I did. I’m based in Hemel Hempstead, so it was a convenient option, but what really stood out was Brother Shahid’s expertise and knowledge. He clearly knows what he’s doing and takes the time to explain everything, which made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the session. On top of that, he’s a genuinely nice and humble brother, which made the whole experience even better. I’d highly recommend Hertfordshire Cupping to family and friends, and I’ll definitely be returning.Posted on Haroon HanifTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Why Luton Clients Choose Us
Luton has a large community that is familiar with Hijama and takes it seriously. There are local practitioners in the area, and many operate from home. Our Luton clients most often switched to us because they wanted to know with certainty that the equipment is sterile, the environment is private, and the person treating them has formal certification rather than informal training.
Every session at our clinic uses single-use sterile equipment that is opened in front of you from sealed packaging. The room is private with one client at a time. The practitioner, Abdus Shahid, is certified in Hijama Cupping Therapy, IASTM, Myofascial Cupping and Trigger Point Therapy. This is not a side service. It is the main thing we do.
We are also the only clinic in Hertfordshire that combines Hijama with IASTM muscle scraping. For clients with long-standing tension, training-related tightness or restrictions that haven't resolved with standard Hijama or massage, this combination makes a real difference.
We regularly see clients from Luton town centre, Bury Park, Leagrave, Stopsley and Dunstable. The journey to St Albans is around 25 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train.

What We Treat for Luton Clients
Most clients from Luton come to us for one of the following. Each is approached using a combination of Hijama, clinical cupping, IASTM muscle scraping and deep tissue work, all in a single session. We'll tailor the methods to your specific situation during the consultation.
Sunnah Hijama & General Wellbeing
For those following the Sunnah of cupping on the recommended days, seeking general body maintenance, relief from stress and fatigue, or regular monthly Hijama as part of their wellness routine.
View Hijama page →Back Pain & Sciatica
Lower back tension that keeps returning, upper back tightness from prolonged sitting or physical work, or sciatica-type discomfort radiating into the leg. Our combined approach reaches the fascial layer where recurring back tension typically sits.
View back pain page →Neck Pain & Tension Headaches
Stiff neck, restricted movement, or headaches from the base of the skull or behind the eyes. Often driven by tight upper traps and sub-occipital muscles that respond well to Hijama and IASTM.
View neck pain page →Sports Recovery & Training Tension
For runners, gym-goers, footballers and anyone training regularly. Hijama, cupping and IASTM for chronic tightness and faster recovery between sessions. Luton has a strong sports community and we see a lot of training-related cases.

Common Questions
Before You Book
Is the equipment really sterile and single-use?+
Yes, without exception. Every cup, blade and disposable used in your wet cupping session is single-use and opened from sealed sterile packaging in front of you. All clinical waste is disposed of through certified medical waste channels after every session. This is a non-negotiable standard at every session, for every client.
Can I book Hijama on the Sunnah days?+
Yes. We accommodate bookings on the recommended Sunnah days (17th, 19th and 21st of each Islamic month). Because these days are popular, availability can fill quickly. Message us on WhatsApp with the dates you're looking for and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Is a female practitioner available?+
A female practitioner is available for Hijama sessions only. Her availability is limited so please WhatsApp us before booking online to confirm her schedule. We do not book her for recovery or massage sessions.
How long does a Hijama session take?+
Starter Hijama runs 30 to 45 minutes. Signature Hijama is 45 to 60 minutes. Advanced Hijama is 60 to 75 minutes. On your first visit, add 10 to 15 minutes for the consultation. We'll go through your health history and build the session around what you're dealing with before we start.
Not sure which session to book?+
First time or Sunnah practice: Signature Hijama. Tightness or pain that keeps coming back: Targeted Recovery + Hijama. Multiple areas or long-term tension: Full Body Recovery + Hijama. If you're unsure, message us on WhatsApp and we'll point you to the right session straight away.
Can I come while fasting?+
We advise against having Hijama while fasting. It's better to eat lightly 1 to 2 hours before your session and drink water through the day beforehand. If you're fasting for Ramadan, early morning slots before Fajr or evening slots after Iftar can work well. Message us and we'll find a time that suits.
